Nitish hands over Home to BJP, allocates portfolios to 18 ministers in Bihar

Following the formation of the new Bihar government, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has finalised the allocation of ministerial portfolios. After a brief meeting between Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, the full list of departments assigned to ministers was submitted to the Governor.
Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Sinha will continue as Deputy Chief Ministers in the new cabinet. For the first time, the Home Department has been allotted to a BJP leader, marking a significant shift from previous Nitish Kumar-led administrations.
A cabinet meeting will be convened soon, following the portfolio distribution.
