Monalisa famously known as ‘Kumbh girl’ declared minor by NCST, her husband booked under POCSO

Monalisa Bhosle also known as ‘Kumbh girl’ who went viral during the Mahakumbh has been declared a minor in the National Commission for Scheduled Tribe (NCST) probe . After the declaration, police booked her husband under the POCSO Act(Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) for marrying a minor.
Moanlisa, comes from Pardi Tribal community, , who married to her boyfriend Farman Khan in Kerala last month, is reportedly declared a minor in the NCST investigation. In the investigation, the commission found that she is 16 years old.
Due to her being declared a minor, an FIR has been filed against her husband, Farman, under the POCSO Act at the Maheshwar police station in Madhya Pradesh’s Khargone district, the place where Monalisa comes, as per reports.
The commission reportedly conducted a investigation in which they checked the records of the Government Medical Hospital in Maheswar, Madhya Pradesh, and found that Moanlisa was born on December 30, 2009, the report suggests. As per this, at the time of her marriage, she was 16 years old.
After the commission revelation, police have reportedly registered an FIR and invoked multiple charges under the POCSO Act, Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), and SC/ST Act, as she comes from a tribal background, as per the reports.
