Supreme Court directed the CBI to wait and directed the agency not to interact and record statements with the two rape survivours, till the hearing completed today.

The Chief Justice led bench said this as lawyer for two Manipuri women victims, Nizammudin Pasha, said that since the SC is hearing the case at 2 p.m. today, it would be better that the CBI does not record their statement prior to the hearing.

The Solicitor General (SG) Tushar Mehta said if the CBI does not record statements promptly in this case, then Mr Kapil Sibal will blame us and will say that we are not doing our duty.

The CJI passed the order of stopping the CBI ro record the victims statements, till today's completion of hearing in the case, as it was informed that the CBI is going to record their statements at noon today.
