More than 100 people have lost their lives in the ethnic clashes in Manipur
Discussions have been brewing regarding the resignation of Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh since this morning. He tweeted and clarified that he would not be signing the resignation letter and wouldn't step down as CM at ‘this crucial juncture’.
Supporters tore up his resignation letter
Hundreds of women reportedly gathered near his residence and formed a human chain, saying that they did not want him to resign. A copy of his resignation letter was torn down when two ministers came out of his residence with it.
In a recent development, the Manipur government further extended the ban on internet services in the state till July 5, 2023.
