Man Posing As IAS Officer, Claiming To Be Ajit Doval’s Undercover Agent Arrested

A man allegedly posing as an IAS officer and claiming to work as an undercover agent for National Security Advisor Ajit Doval has been arrested in Bihar’s Khagaria district, police said. A Tesla car and a quantity of liquor were also seized from his possession, according to reports.

Accused Allegedly Used Fake Official Identity

Police said the accused had been projecting himself as a senior government official and claimed to have links with the national security establishment. Investigators are now examining how long he had been using the alleged false identity and whether he had used it to gain access, influence or financial benefits.

The case came to light in Khagaria, where police arrested the man following an investigation into his activities.

Tesla Car, Liquor Seized

During the operation, police reportedly recovered a Tesla car and a substantial quantity of liquor from the accused.

The seizure of the luxury vehicle has also become part of the investigation as authorities seek to establish how the accused acquired and used it while allegedly maintaining his false official persona.

Probe Underway

Investigators are expected to verify the accused's claims of being an undercover operative and determine whether anyone else was involved in helping him impersonate a government official.

Police are also looking into whether the alleged identity was used to deceive members of the public or officials.

The arrest highlights the risks posed by individuals who allegedly exploit the names and positions of senior government and security officials to lend credibility to a fabricated identity.
