Man lynched in Mangaluru after allegedly shouting 'Pakistan Zindabad'

A Malayali Muslim man was beaten to death on the sidelines of a cricket match on Sunday, April 27, in Mangaluru.
According to the Mangaluru Police, 20 people have been booked in connection with the hate crime and murder. Out of them, 15 have been arrested so far.
The incident occurred near Kudupu, where the man was allegedly lynched by a mob after he reportedly shouted “Pakistan Zindabad” during a local cricket match.
Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara, while commenting on the incident, said he has not yet received the full report but assured that the case would be taken seriously.
The attack reportedly happened around 3 pm on April 27. The victim, whose identity is yet to be confirmed, was allegedly assaulted with sticks. He later succumbed to his injuries at a hospital, where he was declared dead.
