Man held in Mysuru for sending hoax bomb threat emails to Delhi institutions

Delhi Police have arrested a man from Karnataka’s Mysuru, accused of allegedly sending over 1,100 hoax bomb threats to schools, government offices, and high courts across India, as per reports.
The 47-year-old, Srinivas Louis, was apprehended from his residence in Bridavan Layout, in a joint operation with the local police.
According to police sources, he had allegedly sent multiple emails within a short span warning of explosions, leading to widespread alarm.
The operation was launched after authorities took serious note of repeated hoax bomb threats reported over the past month.
“Based on technical inputs and surveillance, it was found that the messages were being sent from Mysuru. A team of Delhi Police conducted a raid and arrested the accused,” sources said.
The action was carried out with assistance from personnel of the VV Puram police station in Mysuru, they added.
Sources said the accused had been hiding in the city while continuing to send threatening emails.
During the raid, police seized multiple SIM cards and a laptop allegedly used to send the messages.
The accused is being brought to Delhi for further interrogation, and investigation is under way, officials said.
