Lilavati hospital caught in controversy over alleged black magic and ₹1,500 cr misappropriation
Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital, one of the city’s most prestigious medical institutions, is now at the center of controversy following allegations of financial misappropriation amounting to ₹1,500 crore and alleged black magic practices.
Lilavati Kirtilal Mehta Medical Trust has accused former trustees of siphoning off hospital funds. In addition, shocking claims have emerged regarding occult practices, with trustees reportedly discovering urns containing bones and human hair beneath their office premises.
The trust has lodged complaints with the police and the Enforcement Directorate (ED), leading to multiple FIRs being filed against the former trustees. Additionally, a fourth case is pending before a magistrate, specifically regarding allegations of black magic and occult rituals.
Reports suggest that the hospital’s financial records reveal fraudulent transactions, leading to financial strain on the institution. The forensic audit reportedly found irregularities in fund allocation, prompting legal action against the accused trustees.
Prashant Mehta, the trust’s Permanent Resident Trustee, stated, “Multiple FIRs have been filed against the former trustees and their associates. Our primary focus is ensuring transparency and protecting the hospital’s mission. The financial misconduct uncovered in the forensic audit is a betrayal of public trust.”
Adding to the controversy, current trustees claim that black magic rituals were performed within the hospital premises. They reportedly found eight urns containing bones and human hair buried beneath their office, fueling suspicions of occult practices.
The matter has sparked public outcry, with demands for a thorough investigation. Authorities are now probing both the financial mismanagement and the alleged black magic at Lilavati Hospital. Further developments in the case are awaited.
