Developed by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Sachet streams instant notifications directly to mobile phones. The platform compiles real-time hazard data from top scientific bodies—including the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the Central Water Commission (CWC), and the Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS)—converting complex meteorological updates into immediate, actionable warnings.

Linked directly to a device’s GPS, Sachet filters warnings so users only receive notifications relevant to their immediate area. If a severe cyclone approaches Odisha, residents in western or northern states remain undisturbed by unnecessary alarms.
