Throw her from the same place if she is guilty: Siya Goyal’s mother

The investigation into the alleged murder of Ketan Agarwal has taken a significant turn after the parents of the prime accused, Siya Goyal, publicly expressed shock over the incident, offered condolences to the victim’s family, and stated that anyone found guilty in the case, including their daughter, should face the strictest punishment.

Speaking about the Ketan Agarwal murder case, Siya’s father, Praveen Goyal, said he was deeply saddened by the death of Ketan and described the loss as unimaginable for his family.

“What happened is a very sad incident. I still can’t believe it. They have lost their son. I had so much love for him. I was so attached to him. Such a loving, talented, good boy, today we have lost him. As a father, I would say they lost their son; there’s no bigger sorrow than this. A few days back, they celebrated Siya’s birthday and dreamt of a better life ahead,” Praveen Goyal said.

Siya Goyal’s mother, Pooja Goyal, also expressed grief over the incident and said justice should prevail regardless of who is found responsible.

“When I heard about this incident, I was deeply shocked. I kept wondering how something like this could have happened. The grief Ketan’s family is experiencing today is immense, but I feel even greater pain because two families have been devastated. Ketan was such a good person. If anyone is found guilty in this case, they should receive the strictest possible punishment, even if it is my daughter,” she said.

Pooja Goyal further added, “If my daughter is found guilty, then the person responsible should be thrown from the very place from which Ketan fell.”

The case took another turn after a security guard at Lohagad Fort near Pune shared details of what he witnessed following Ketan Agarwal’s fatal fall, which investigators later alleged was a murder.

According to security guard Dheeraj Jadhav, he rushed to the spot after hearing screams and found Siya Goyal calling for help.

“I came running after hearing screams. I asked Siya Goyal what happened, and she said that ‘someone has fallen off the fort’. I immediately informed the police,” Jadhav said.

He added that Siya Goyal was repeatedly shouting, “Help, help.”

Jadhav also stated that the fort has round-the-clock security and a nearby police station, although communication can sometimes be affected due to poor mobile network connectivity in the area.

Responding to questions about the incident, the security guard said he was on duty when he heard screams from a distance and immediately ran towards the location.

Siya Goyal and her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary, are both accused in the Ketan Agarwal murder case and are currently in police custody as the investigation continues.
