Doctor accuses Kerala rapper Vedan of sexual assault

A doctor has filed a rape case against Kerala rapper and songwriter Hirandas Murali, popularly known as Vedan, as per reports.

The Kerala Police reportedly registered the case on Wednesday night.

Kochi Police Commissioner stated that the complaint is currently being verified, and the rapper has not been arrested yet.

According to the complaint, the doctor alleged that she met the rapper as a fan, and their relationship later developed into a personal one.

Vedan has reportedly faced previous allegations of sexual assault, though no formal complaints were filed in those instances.

The rapper was first arrested in April for possession of illegal substances after weed was found in his apartment. He was later re-arrested for possession of leopard teeth, which he had worn as part of a necklace.
