Karnataka woman assaulted after husband complains to mosque

A woman in Karnataka was assaulted in a mosque after her husband reportedly complained about her having a relative and another man in their house.
According to reports, the wife – Shabina Banu – hosted her relative Nasreen, and another man named Fayaz at the house on April 7.
The trio also went for a short outing and returned to home.
When Shabina’s husband, Jameel Ahmad, came home, he became enraged by the presence of Nasreen and Fayaz.
He reportedly filed a complaint against his wife, her relative Nasreen, and Fayaz at the Jama Masjid in Bengaluru’s Tavarekere.
The three individuals against whom the complaint was registered by the husband were summoned to the mosque on April 9.
Upon their arrival at the mosque, a group of six men allegedly assaulted the wife with sticks and pipes, leaving her severely injured.
The incident was captured on video and quickly went viral on social media.
Following the video’s circulation, the accused individuals Mohammad Niyaz, Mohammad Gauspeer, Chand Basha, Dastagir, Rasool, and Inayat Ullah who allegedly assaulted the victim, were apprehended by the police.
A case has been registered against the accused under charges of conspiracy, assault, and attempted murder, as per reports.
