Jyoti Malhotra espionage case: Hisar police say ‘No direct links to terrorism found yet’

The Hisar police have issued an official statement in the case of YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, who was allegedly detained over accusations of spying for Pakistan. Jyoti had traveled to Pakistan multiple times and was reportedly in contact with Danish, an officer at the Pakistan High Commission, raising suspicions of espionage.
Police clarified that no concrete evidence has been found so far indicating Jyoti had access to any military, strategic, or defense-related information. Three mobile phones, a laptop, and other electronic gadgets were seized from her and sent to a forensic lab for analysis. The results are awaited.
Police also stated there is no confirmed evidence of her involvement with any terrorist organisation, conversion, or marriage with a Person of Indian Origin (PIO). The investigation is ongoing, and central agencies are involved, but Jyoti remains in Hisar police custody.
The police have urged media and social media platforms to avoid spreading unverified information.
