Jan Suraaj alleges ₹14,000cr world bank loan misused to buy NDA majority in Bihar

Jan Suraaj Party National President Uday Singh on Saturday alleged that the Bihar government spent ₹14,000 crore from a World Bank loan, along with nearly ₹40,000 crore in public funds, to influence voters and secure the NDA’s overwhelming majority in the Assembly elections.
Addressing a press conference at Sheikhpura House on Bailey Road, Singh said, “Such massive spending to sway elections is unprecedented. Funds meant for education, employment, and health have been depleted while the government opened its coffers to influence votes.”
While congratulating the NDA on its victory, he stressed that Bihar now needed a clean government and demanded the removal of tainted ministers. Singh added that despite Jan Suraaj having no presence in the Assembly, the party would continue to act as a strong opposition, closely monitoring the government’s actions on key public issues.
He claimed some voters shifted to the NDA at the last moment, fearing that a vote for Jan Suraaj might indirectly help the RJD return to power.
Manoj Bharti, the party’s Bihar state president, addressed workers across the state, saying the party would regroup and continue its mission, while senior leaders Subhash Singh Kushwaha, Sarwar Ali, and state media in-charge Obaidur Rahman were also present.
