An army vehicle in Jammu was attacked by terrorists who opened fire on Wednesday in the Sunderbani area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district.

According to reports, the incident occurred near Phall village, Rajouri, around 12.45 pm on Wednesday. It is reported that four or five rounds were fired at a 9 JAK vehicle.

No casualties have been reported so far.

This is a developing story.

Earlier today, an unidentified intruder was killed as the Border Security Force (BSF) foiled an infiltration bid along the International Border (IB) in Pathankot on Wednesday.

The BSF said, “On Wednesday, at pre-dawn, our troops observed suspicious movement across the IB in BOP Tashpatan, Pathankot border area, and an intruder was seen crossing the IB. The alert troops challenged the intruder, but he did not heed the warning and kept moving.”

“Sensing the threat, our troops neutralized the intruder,” the BSF added.

The BSF also stated that the identity and motive of the intruder are being determined.

“Vigilant BSF troops thwarted the infiltration attempt. A strong protest will be lodged with Pakistan Rangers,” the BSF said.

There have been a series of encounters between terrorists and security forces across Jammu and Kashmir in recent days, during which many terrorists and their commanders have been eliminated, even as Pakistan continues to step up infiltration at the LoC and attempt to send consignments of weapons.
