Hyderabad techie dies after jumping from sixth floor with infant

A 37-year-old software engineer died after allegedly jumping from the sixth floor of an apartment building in Hyderabad's Miyapur while carrying her six-month-old infant in her arms. The tragic incident took place at Lakshmi Prestige Apartments in Mayuri Nagar, as per reports.

The woman, identified as Isha Sahu, reportedly jumped from the residential building with the child. During the fall, the infant is believed to have slipped from her grasp and survived, sustaining only minor injuries.

Residents and emergency responders rushed to the spot, and the baby was immediately shifted to Lotus Hospital in KPHB for treatment. Doctors said the child is out of danger.

Isha suffered severe injuries and was declared dead at the scene.

According to sources, she had reportedly been experiencing prolonged sleep-related issues, including insomnia, for several months. Investigators suspect that these difficulties may have contributed to significant mental distress, though officials have stressed that the exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.

Police have registered a case and launched a probe to determine the sequence of events leading up to the tragedy. Authorities are collecting statements from family members and others connected to the case while examining all possible angles.
