Hyderabad airport receives bomb scare email, Indigo flight diverted to Mumbai

Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in India received a bomb threat email, following which authorities diverted an Indigo flight on Saturday morning.
The threat was received at 5 am on Saturday, claiming LTTE-ISI operatives were planning a major blast involving nerve gas and IEDS, as per reports.
In a detailed message, the sender framed a specific message, “Onboard LTTE-ISI operatives have planned a major 1984 Madras Airport Modus Operandi Style blast on impact at the RGIA Port Fuselages and fuel tanks fitted with microbots. The IEDs will contain potent nerve gas. The Frankfurt operation is a test to study remedies. Please read the steganographic document below for IED location details, read between the lines.”
As per reports, the Bomb Threat Assessment Committee met virtually at 5.39 am and called it a ‘specific threat’.
According to reports, all stakeholders were alerted, and the flight was diverted to Mumbai airport, where it safely landed.
Moreover, Indigo flight 6E 68 operating from Jeddah to Hyderabad on November 1 was diverted to Mumbai, after the scare.
