Homes of two local terrorist involved in Pahalgam attack demolished in J&K

The houses of two local terrorists, Adil Thoker and Asif Shaikh – allegedly involved in the deadly Pahalgam terror attack – were demolished on Thursday night in Anantnag and Awantipora, respectively.
According to officials, the Pahalgam attack was carried out by a group of five terrorists, two of whom were locals – Thoker and Shaikh. Both had allegedly undergone terror training in Pakistan.
Adil Thoker had legally traveled to Pakistan in 2018 via the Attari-Wagah border and, as per intelligence sources, received training before returning to Jammu and Kashmir last year.
Security forces have intensified operations across the Valley, targeting not just militants but also their support infrastructure. Demolition of properties belonging to terror accused is part of a broader strategy to dismantle the ecosystem that enables such activities.
Officials stated that the demolitions serve as a stern warning – anyone found involved in aiding, abetting, or participating in terrorist operations will face strict punitive measures, including loss of property.
