Goa wedding harassment: Event company alleges abuse by bride’s family

An India-based private event management company, alleged serious harassment of its female employees by members of the bride’s family in Goa on social media.
Taking to Instagram on Thursday, the company shared a detailed statement describing how three of their female team members were physically intimidated, chased, and verbally harassed, with one of them locking herself inside a bathroom stall out of fear.
The founder of the firm Mint & Mogra, was also reportedly subjected to vulgar, degrading remarks with sexual references, along with public threats and humiliation, as per the social media post.
The post, which now has over 1,000 likes and close to 100 comments, alleged that the bride’s father was at the center of the misconduct, even barging into a ladies’ washroom and grabbing female staff members while shouting at them. According to the statement, the young men on the team had to intervene and form a human shield to protect their colleagues.
“This is not just crossing professional boundaries – this is abuse,” the company stated.
The women-led enterprise, emphasised the emotional toll on their staff and called for industry-wide accountability. “No woman deserves to feel unsafe at work. Not in this industry. Not in any,” they wrote.
