Ghaziabad woman receives inappropriate messages from Rapido driver, company reacts

A woman from Ghaziabad shared screenshots of the Whatsapp conversation that was allegedly initiated by the Rapido bike driver who had just dropped her. The ride hailing company reacted to the reel posted by the woman, apologising for the driver's behaviour.

In the video shared by the woman, the Rapido rider, after dropping her, commented on her appearance, saying that she looked “cute” and “traditional mein achchi lag rahi thi”. According to the video, the driver reportedly asked her what her age was and whether she lived alone, also commenting if she is angry because of this approach, and moreover suggested meeting her at 4 pm the next day.
The company replied by saying, “Hi, we sincerely apologise for the captain’s unethical behavior. This is completely unacceptable and does not reflect the service standards we aim to provide. Please share your registered mobile number and ride ID via DM so we can investigate this on priority and take strict necessary action.”
The video has gone viral with over 11.8 million views, with users raising concern over women safety and misuse of customers’ contact details.
