French President Emmanuel Macron to visit India from February 17

French President Emmanuel Macron will make a three-day visit to India starting February 17, during which he will hold wide-ranging talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said on Tuesday.
The two leaders are expected to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation across a broad range of sectors, along with regional and global issues of mutual interest, including collaboration in the Indo-Pacific region, the MEA said in a statement.
Macron will also attend the India AI Impact Summit, scheduled to be held from February 16 to 20 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The five-day summit will focus on policy, research, industry and public engagement and is structured around the themes of people, planet and progress. It is expected to bring together global leaders, policymakers, technology companies and experts to deliberate on the role of artificial intelligence in governance, innovation and sustainable development.
An accompanying India AI Impact Expo, spread across more than 70,000 square metres, will feature over 300 exhibitors from 30 countries across 10 thematic pavilions, showcasing advancements in the large-scale deployment of AI technologies.
During the visit, Modi and Macron will also travel to Mumbai to jointly inaugurate the “India–France Year of Innovation 2026”, an initiative aimed at strengthening cooperation in innovation, technology, research and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
