Air travel has become more expensive during the summer vacation, mainly due to the rise in jet fuel prices and fewer flights available. Passengers are now paying more for tickets, which is affecting many travel plans.

The increase in aviation fuel prices in the international market has forced airlines to add extra fuel charges. Also, tension in the Middle East has disturbed flight schedules, especially in Gulf countries. Some flights are cancelled, and others are delayed, creating inconvenience for travellers.

This situation has also affected the tourism industry. Tour packages have become 10-15% more expensive because airfare is a big part of the total cost. Travel companies are finding it difficult to provide low-budget packages during the peak vacation time.

According to the fare comparison, ticket prices from Ahmedabad have increased on all major routes. The Ahmedabad–Delhi fare has gone up from ₹4,500 to ₹5,500. Ahmedabad–Dehradun tickets have increased from ₹6,000 to ₹7,500. Ahmedabad–Mumbai fares have risen from ₹3,500 to ₹4,000, while Ahmedabad–Goa tickets now cost ₹4,500 instead of ₹3,500.

Similarly, long-distance routes have seen a bigger hike. Ahmedabad–Guwahati fares have increased from ₹10,000 to ₹13,000. Ahmedabad–Bagdogra tickets have gone up from ₹10,000 to ₹12,000, and Ahmedabad–Srinagar fares have risen from ₹7,000 to ₹9,000.

Another reason for the price hike is the reduction in the number of domestic flights. With fewer options, passengers have no choice but to pay higher fares.

Overall, summer travels have become costly, and many travellers are feeling the pressure on their budget while planning holidays.
