Fire breaks out at Mahakumbh one day after stampede
Just a day after the stampede incident at Mahakumbh in which 30 people died, a fire broke out in the tent city in Prayagraj, where many tents are believed to have been burnt. According to reports, no casualties have been reported so far.
A fire erupted on Thursday at the tent city built at Nageshwar Ghat, Sector 22. Several tents were reduced to ashes before the fire brigade arrived and brought the situation under control.
There have been no casualties reported as of now.
The Mahakumbh Mela, which holds immense spiritual significance for people around the world, is taking place after 112 years.
Authorities have made extensive arrangements for the event, but the massive crowd has raised concerns. On Wednesday alone, a record-breaking 4.38 crore people were recorded attending the Mahakumbh, making it a challenging crowd to manage.
The recent incidents have raised serious concerns about the safety and well-being of those attending the event.
