Driver, Conductor Sexually Assault Minor in Moving Bus in Noida, Arrested

In a shocking incident exposing the grim state of passenger safety on regional transit routes, a 16-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped inside a moving sleeper bus near Greater Noida. Uttar Pradesh Police have arrested both the driver and the conductor of the private vehicle following an intensive probe into the assault.

The horrific incident transpired on August 4 near the busy Pari Chowk intersection in Greater Noida. According to senior police officials, the perpetrators forced themselves upon the minor inside the vehicle, issued death threats to silence her when she attempted to resist, and subsequently dumped her near Kashmere Gate in Delhi before fleeing the scene.

Brutal Assault Near Pari Chowk

Details from the survivor's official statement reveal that the crime occurred late at night as the sleeper bus navigated through the NCR corridor. Taking advantage of the isolated setting within the private coach, the two staff members targeted the teenager.

After threatening to kill her if she raised an alarm or fought back, both men subjected her to severe sexual abuse. Following the assault, the crew drove across the state border to national capital territory, abandoning the victim near the crowded Kashmere Gate area in North Delhi.

Police Action And Arrests

Upon reaching safety, the traumatised teenager approached the police to report the crime. Local police units initiated immediate investigative measures based on the victim's complaint, tracking down the bus route and reviewing movement logs surrounding the Pari Chowk area.

Investigators subsequently identified and apprehended the two accused—the driver and the conductor—placing them into police custody. Senior officers confirmed that law enforcement agencies have booked both men under stringent provisions of the Indian Penal Code alongside relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Forensic teams have inspected the vehicle, while further proceedings remain underway to build a airtight case against the accused.
