As the 2024 Lok Sabha elections draw near, political parties have begun deploying gimmicks and targeted campaigns against their rivals.

‘Scan! Check out the Scam’, is a DMK (Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam) campaign in Tamil Nadu, that popped up on posters across the state against the ruling party.

According to reports, the poster included PM Narendra Modi’s picture as a scanner titled ‘Ji Pay’. Upon scanning the QR code from the poster, a pop-up video opens on the mobile.

The video explains the alleged election bond scam of the BJP and attacks the BJP in Tamil language.

Recently, during his visit to Tamil Nadu, prime minister Modi accused the DMK of corruption. He also indirectly referred to MK Stalin’s leadership in his address and accused him of being involved in corruption.

Elections in the southern state will be held on Apr 19 in the first phase of voting for all 39 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu.
