The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced that the Chartered Accountants (CA) examinations, put on hold over the rise in India-Pakistan tensions, will now resume from Thursday, May 16.
The institute confirmed that the remainder of the May session will proceed as per the revised timetable, with no further delays anticipated.
The exams originally scheduled between May 10 and 14 were deferred amid security concerns for students and examination centres along the border.
| Date | Exam |
| May 16 | CA Final (Group 2) Paper 5, INTT–AT Paper 1 |
| May 18 | CA Final Paper 6, INTT–AT Paper 2 |
| May 20 | Intermediate (Group 2) Paper 4 |
| May 22 | Intermediate Paper 5 |

ICAI conducts the CA Foundation and Intermediate examinations three times a year. The May session had commenced when the sudden postponement was announced.
In its statement, the ICAI said: “With the security situation now under control, we are confident that the revised schedule will be executed smoothly, ensuring minimal disruption to candidates.”
Candidates are advised to check the ICAI website for any last-minute updates and to ensure their centres are confirmed ahead of their rescheduled exams.
