Winds to favour kite enthusiasts, temp to dip in Uttarayan in Gujarat
Ahead of Uttarayan, the western disturbance in Gujarat is causing a surge in wind and increasing cold. This has caused the average minimum temperature in many cities to drop by up to 6°C in the past 24 hours.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the weather is likely to remain dry for the next five days. However, weather experts have predicted unseasonal rainfall.
“Minimum temperatures will fall by 2-3°C in the next 24 hours, thereafter, rise by 2-3°C,” said IMD.
Kite-flying enthusiasts may face severe cold as temperatures are likely to dip until Tuesday, the festival of Uttarayan.
