Delhi-Gujarat Police Busts Narco-Extortion Ring with Pakistani Heroin Seizure Worth ₹12 Crore

Delhi Police Special Cell in joint operation with Gujarat Crime Branch personnel arrested a Rajasthan native and seized 2 kg of Pakistani-origin heroin worth ₹12 crore in a joint operation targeting interstate syndicates.

Kuldeep Swami, a 31-year-old resident of Churu, was apprehended for operating a sophisticated narco-extortion module linked to gangsters Rohit Godara and Mahendra Delana. Investigators tracked Swami in connection with a major extortion case involving ₹10 crore registered in Vadodara.

Officers searched a vehicle fitted with a specially engineered secret cavity, recovering the narcotics alongside currency notes utilized for hawala token verification.

Syndicate Connections

The joint team established that the syndicate funnels cross-border contraband to fund criminal enterprises across northern and western states. Police are examining financial trails connecting Swami directly to handlers based in Pakistan.

Interrogations suggest the network relies on local operatives to collect extortion money and distribute narcotics smuggled through border routes. The Special Cell has widened its net to identify other domestic facilitators assisting the Godara-Delana faction.

Broader Crackdown

This seizure forms part of an intensified campaign by law enforcement agencies against organized crime syndicates operating across capital boundaries.

Last month, the Special Cell arrested two alleged Gogi gang sympathisers near the Munak Canal following a tip-off, seizing illegal firearms intended for extortion bids. Authorities also apprehended proclaimed offender Jaswinder Singh under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act after a prolonged manhunt spanning Delhi and Haryana.
