A Delhi-bound IndiGo flight made an emergency landing in Patna shortly after takeoff on Wednesday following a bird strike, as per reports.

Flight 6E509 landed safely at Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport.

The incident reportedly occurred around 8.42 am as the flight took off, and pieces of the dead bird were recovered on the runway during inspection.

All passengers were safe, according to reports.

Earlier on Tuesday, an IndiGo flight from Indore to Raipur became an unsettling experience for 51 passengers when it developed a technical fault and made an emergency landing shortly after takeoff.

The aircraft, typically scheduled to depart at 6.35 am, left seven minutes early at 6.28 am from Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport.

Around 30 minutes into the journey, approximately 100 kilometres from Indore airport, the aircraft reportedly experienced a sudden jolt, causing panic among passengers.

Passengers were quoted in various reports describing how the aircraft shook without warning, leading to panic onboard.

The pilot immediately contacted Indore Air Traffic Control (ATC) after receiving false technical alarms in the cockpit and sought permission to return.

The aircraft landed safely back in Indore at 7.15 am, and all passengers were safely offloaded.
