Delhi Airport crowned best in India, South Asia at 2026 World Airport Awards

Indira Gandhi International Airport has been recognised as the Best Airport in India and South Asia at the 2026 World Airport Awards by Skytrax, reinforcing its status as the country’s premier aviation hub.
The airport has also improved its position in global rankings, climbing to 28th place this year from 32nd in 2025. Operated by Delhi International Airport Limited, led by GMR Airports Limited, it remains the only Indian airport to feature among the world’s top 30.
The list of top airports in India and South Asia for 2026 includes Kempegowda International Airport, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Manohar International Airport, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Chennai International Airport, Bandaranaike International Airport, Cochin International Airport, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport.
At the global level, Singapore Changi Airport secured the top spot once again. Known as one of Southeast Asia’s busiest aviation hubs, Changi Airport is globally acclaimed for its seamless operations and world-class passenger experience.
