Days Before Exams, NEET-PG Aspirant Yashwita Consumes Poison, Dies in Hyderabad Hostel

A 24-year-old NEET-PG aspirant, Yashwita, was found dead at her hostel in Hyderabad, days before the postgraduate medical entrance examination, police said.

Aspirant Found Dead in Hostel

Yashwita, who was preparing for the NEET-PG examination, was found unresponsive in her hostel room in Hyderabad on Saturday, according to police.

She was reportedly staying in the city while preparing for the examination, which was scheduled to be held on Sunday.

Police were alerted after hostel authorities found her in the room. Officers reached the spot and began an investigation.

Exam Pressure Under Scanner

The incident has brought renewed attention to the intense pressure faced by medical aspirants preparing for competitive examinations.

NEET-PG is a highly competitive entrance examination for admission to postgraduate medical courses across India. Thousands of medical graduates compete for a limited number of seats each year.

While police are investigating the circumstances surrounding Yashwita's death, officials have not confirmed that examination pressure was the sole reason.

Police Begin Investigation
