Authorities in Goa have intensified their action against the operators of the Romeo Lane nightclub chain following the blaze that killed 25 people, issuing look-out notices for the absconding founders and sealing other establishments linked to the brand, as per reports.

The fire at the North Goa beach club, which erupted during peak hours and led to mass suffocation deaths among staff and tourists, has exposed serious lapses in permissions and safety compliance. Investigators say the nightclub lacked mandatory fire department clearance and had ignored key safety requirements.

As per reports, four individuals connected to the club’s operations were taken into custody on Sunday. A fifth accused a manager who handled daily operations was reportedly tracked down and arrested in Delhi on Monday.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said initial reports show the establishment had violated fire safety rules, and he promised firm action against those responsible.

Police have reportedly arrested chief general manager Rajiv Modak, general manager Vivek Singh, bar manager Rajiv Singhania, gate manager Riyanshu Thakur, and operations manager Bharat Singh, who was detained in Delhi.

As enforcement widened, a beach shack and another club linked to the Romeo Lane group were sealed. Meanwhile, a Goa police team has reached Delhi to pursue the chain’s promoters, Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra, who are facing an FIR and are currently untraceable.
