Congress MP Phulo Devi Netam fainted in the Lok Sabha today during a protest over the NEET paper leak issue. She was later rushed to a hospital.
Netam’s colleagues immediately called an ambulance and she was taken to RML hospital in New Delhi, according to reports.. In a video that surfaced online, AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal was also seen sitting in the ambulance.
BJP leader and Union Minister Kiren Rijiju also showed up when the ambulance arrived to offer help.
Notably, strong protests have erupted inside the parliament over the NEET paper leak, led by the Opposition in the Lok Sabha.
Phulo Devi, the Congress Rajya Sabha MP, is a resident of Kondagaon in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar district. She is also the president of the state’s Mahila Congress wing.
