Case filed against religious preacher Aniruddhacharya over alleged derogatory remarks about women

A case has reportedly been filed against religious preacher and orator Aniruddhacharya after he was accused of making objectionable comments about women. The complaint was submitted by Meera Rathore, the Agra district president of the All India Hindu Mahasabha, according to reports.
As per reports, the complaint has been taken on record by the Mathura Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM). The court has scheduled the next hearing for January 1, 2026, when Rathore’s statement is expected to be recorded.
In a video that went viral, Aniruddhacharya had said that women who are unmarried at 25 have likely been in multiple relationships.
Following backlash on social media over a viral clip of his remarks, Aniruddhacharya issued a clarification stating that his comments had been taken out of context. He reportedly said that his statement referenced both men and women, and that the intention was not to target women alone.
