Bus carrying Indians attacked near Kathmandu amid Nepal unrest; several injured

An Indian tourist bus returning from the Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu was reportedly attacked by protesters amid the ongoing unrest in Nepal, leaving several passengers injured, the bus driver claimed.
According to reports, the bus was carrying 49 Indian tourists when it came under attack. Protesters allegedly surrounded the vehicle and pelted it with stones.
The driver reportedly recalled that as they were returning from the temple, a mob suddenly blocked their way and began throwing stones at the bus. Despite the presence of women and elderly passengers on board, the attackers continued the assault.
Several passengers sustained injuries and were taken to a local hospital by authorities for treatment and others were brought back to India by the special planes arranged by the Indian embassy, as per reports.
As the protest had erupted one Indian-origin woman had also shared her ordeal and has appealed to the External Ministry of Affairs to bring them back to India.
