Bomb threat emails spark nationwide alert, schools in Gujarat and UP’s Amroha court evacuated

Bomb threat emails were reported across India on Monday morning, causing panic among citizens. Early in the day, schools in Ahmedabad and Vadodara received bomb threats, and later the District Court in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, was also targeted.
An anonymous email sent to the official email ID of the Amroha court stated that a bomb would be detonated inside the court premises at 12.15 pm. As soon as the information came to the notice of the District Judge, police and district authorities were immediately informed. Considering the seriousness of the threat, security was tightened without delay.
Following the alert, Uttar Pradesh Police and local police teams rushed to the spot. The court premises were immediately evacuated, and lawyers, staff members, and members of the public were moved to safe locations.
Earlier in the day, bomb threat emails were also received by 13 schools in Vadodara and Ahmedabad. The schools were evacuated after receiving a series of threatening emails, leading to extensive security checks.
Officials confirmed that seven schools in Ahmedabad and six in Vadodara received the emails. In Ahmedabad, institutions that confirmed receiving the threats include Asia School in Vastrapur, A-One School in Satellite, DAV International School in Makarba, and Ankur International School. In Vadodara, Urmi School, D R Amin School, and Nalanda School were among those targeted.
Authorities said other institutions in both cities have also been placed on alert as verification and investigation continue.
