BJP MLA’s son booked for ramming Thar, injuring 5 in MP’s Shivpuri

A case involving the son of a sitting legislator has come to light from Shivpuri district in Madhya Pradesh, where Dinesh Lodhi, son of Pichhore BJP MLA Pritam Lodhi, allegedly rammed his speeding Thar SUV into five people.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred when Lodhi was driving towards Karera at high speed. The vehicle allegedly lost control and hit three persons on a motorcycle and two pedestrians. A total of five people, including a woman, sustained injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Videos from the spot, which have since gone viral, show a crowd confronting the accused after the accident. However, instead of expressing remorse, Lodhi was seen blaming the injured. In the footage, he can be heard saying, “Why didn’t you move aside when I honked?” A remark that further angered bystanders, who questioned his conduct.
Taking note of the seriousness of the incident, police have registered a case based on the complaints of the injured. Sources said Lodhi allegedly maintained an aggressive stance even at the police station.
Police have launched an investigation and are examining CCTV footage and viral videos to ascertain the sequence of events and determine further legal action.
