Bengaluru’s Taj West End Hotel received a bomb threat this morning, prompting a swift response from local police and the bomb squad. The threat was reportedly communicated through an email from unknown individuals.

Following the threat, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for Central Bengaluru issued a statement confirming the bomb threat through an unknown email id. A thorough investigation was conducted by the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDDS) and the Additional Security Control (ASC) team, who examined the premises and ultimately determined that the threat was a hoax.

The bomb threat comes just two days after a similar incident at Haji Ali Dargah in Mumbai, where the Dargah Trust received a threatening phone call claiming that a bomb had been placed inside the site. Despite a comprehensive search by bomb squad teams, nothing suspicious was found.

In light of these incidents, the Mumbai police conducted a mock drill in the Pydhonie area to prepare for potential terror threats, involving various units such as the dog squad, quick response team, local police, and riot control unit.

The investigation into the bomb threat at Taj West End Hotel is ongoing, with further details expected to be released soon.
