A 34-year-old Bengaluru techie committed his residence shortly after recording a video accusing his estranged wife and her family of harassment.

Atul Subhash, a director-level executive from UP living in Bengaluru was found hanging in his apartment on Monday morning, leaving behind a video recording of himself, a 40-page suicide note, and a placard that read, “justice is due”.

An initial investigation by the police revealed that Subhash's wife had filed a case against him in UP.

The police also registered a case of abetment of suicide against his wife following a complaint.

In over an hour-long video recorded ahead of suicide, Subhash made serious allegations against his wife, her family members and a judge in Uttar Pradesh's Jaunpur.

A letter addressed to the President was left behind that criticised the criminal justice system and flagged a trend of false cases.

On another note, he said he did not plead guilty to all the charges brought against him by his wife. These include charges under the Dowry Prohibition Act, IPC Section 377 - Unnatural offences and relevant sections such as causing hurt or cruelty against a woman under the Indian Penal Code. “I humbly request the court to stop harassing my parents and brother in these false cases,” he said.

According to reports, he got married in 2019 via a matrimonial site.

In the video, he said that his father passed away after his wife filed false cases of dowry against his family.

She allegedly demanded ₹3 crores as alimony and didn't let him see the face of his child.

On the other hand, Jaunpur Family Court Judge Rita Kaushik allegedly demanded ₹5 lakh to settle the case.

Subhash’s wife’s father died of a heart disease soon after his marriage but his wife got an FIR under sections of ‘murder’ slapped on his family claiming he died of shock because of demand for ‘dowry’, reports suggest.

He had to attend 120 court dates in the last 2 years and said in the video that it is hard to manage a private job in Bengaluru and be present for court dates.

Moreover, he accused the family court judge of passing an order of ₹40,000 per month for maintenance for a 2-year-old child because he didn’t pay her the bribe she had asked for.

Subhash shared a link to his video on X and tagged its CEO, Elon Musk, and US President-Elect Donald Trump.

“I will be dead when you read this. A legal genocide of men is happening in India currently. A dead man is requesting Elon Musk and Donald Trump to save millions of lives from woke Ideologies, Abortion, DEI and restore freedom of speech in India,” he said in a post.
