Bengaluru Delivery Agent Arrested for Allegedly Barging into Woman's Flat and Flashing at Her

A delivery agent working for an e-commerce platform has been arrested in Bengaluru after a woman alleged that he entered her flat without permission and flashed at her after using her washroom, police said on Sunday.

According to the complainant, the delivery agent had arrived at her residence to deliver a parcel and requested permission to use her washroom. She alleged that despite repeatedly refusing his request and asking him to approach neighbouring houses instead, the man entered her flat without her consent.

Woman says she felt unsafe inside her own home

In a post shared on social media, the woman alleged that after coming out of the washroom, the delivery agent exposed himself to her.

She said the incident left her “shocked, traumatised and unsafe” inside her own home. The woman also claimed that she recorded the incident on her phone and later appealed for justice through social media.

Recalling the incident, she wrote that she kept her phone camera switched on, left the main door open and stood near the entrance because she feared for her safety.

Case registered under BNS provisions

Based on the woman's complaint, Bengaluru Police registered a case at the Marathahalli Police Station under Sections 75, 79 and 329(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The accused has been identified as Vijay Mallikarjun Kamat. Police confirmed that he has been arrested and further legal action is being taken.

Victim seeks justice and raises safety concerns

The complainant said she decided to share her experience to seek justice and raise awareness so that no other woman has to go through a similar ordeal.

She urged Bengaluru Police and residents to support her, adding that every woman deserves to feel safe in her own home.

Police said further investigation into the case is underway.
