Badminton champion P V Sindhu to marry Hyderabad techie Venkat Datta Sai on Dec 22

Two-time Olympic medallist and star shuttler Pusarla Venkata Sindhu will marry Hyderabad-based Venkata Datta Sai, an executive director at Posidex Technologies, on December 22 in Udaipur, according to reports.
While addressing the media, her father, P V Ramana reportedly said that both families knew each other and a month ago decided to plan nuptials by the end of December ahead of Sindhu’s ‘hectic’ January 2025.
The wedding events will begin on December 20, with the marriage ceremony scheduled on December 22 in Udaipur, and the reception in Hyderabad on December 24.
Who is Sindhu’s groom?
According to Venkata Datta Sai’s LinkedIn profile, “Since childhood, the one thing that impressed me the most was technology and its ability to change lives”.
Sai earned his Diploma in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from the Foundation of Liberal and Management Education. He completed his BBA in Accounting and Finance from Flame University Bachelor of Business Administration in 2018 and then did his Master’s degree in Data Science and Machine Learning from the International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore.
His career began with interning for JSW Group, being an in-house consultant for them, managing director at Sour Apple Asset Management and Executive Director at Posidex since 2019.
Padma Shri P V Sindhu’s recent wins include the Syed Modi International badminton tournament where she outclassed China’s Wu Luo Yu 21-14, 21-16 in the 47-minute encounter to add the third tournament trophy to her name. She had earlier won the tournament in 2017 and 2022.
The former world champion last won the title in the Singapore Open in July 2022. In the ongoing 2024 season, she only featured in the Malaysia Masters Super 500 final before ending the title drought in Lucknow.
