Asaduddin Owaisi chants ‘Jai Palestine’, BJP MP retorts with ‘Jai Hindu Rashtra’

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president and member of the parliament (MP) from Hyderabad Asaduddin Owaisi chanted “Jai Bheem, Jai Meem, Jai Telangana, Jai Palestine” today after taking his oath in Lok Sabha.

As Owaisi took oath today as the member of the 18th Lok Sabha for the fifth time, in the end he said, “Jai Bheem, Jai Meem, Jai Telangana, Jai Palestine, Takbeer Allah Hu Akbar".

The remarks from the AIMIM president reportedly created uproar in the Lok Sabha.

Owaisi shared the video of his taking the oath on X with the caption, “Sworn in as member of Lok Sabha for the fifth time. Inshallah I will continue to raise issues of India’s marginalised with sincerity”.

Later, in what seemed to be a ‘tit-for-tat’, BJP’s Chhatrapal Singh Gangwar chanted, “Jai Hindu Rashtra, Jai Bharat” after swearing in as an MP from Bareilly.

Owaisi won against BJP contender Madhavi Latha Kompella from Hyderabad constituency with 3,38,087 votes in the Lok Sabha elections.
