Armed gang ties up staff, loots ₹21 cr in cash & gold from SBI in Karnataka

A gang of masked men looted cash and gold worth ₹21 crore from the State Bank of India branch in Chadchan town, Vijaypura district, Karnataka on Tuesday evening. The incident occurred around 6.30 pm, as per reports.
Armed with knives and country-made pistols, the gang reportedly tied the bank staff at gunpoint and forced the branch manager to reveal the location of cash and jewellery. They allegedly locked some employees in the toilet after binding them with ropes before fleeing with ₹1 crore in cash and gold worth ₹20 crore.
According to reports, the criminals used a car with a fake number plate to carry out the heist.
Police have launched a manhunt to trace and arrest the suspects. An official complaint has been registered based on the statement of the bank manager.
