Akasa Air’s flight QP 1146, scheduled to fly from Delhi to Ahmedabad, was abruptly cancelled just five minutes before take-off, causing immense frustration among passengers. Furious travellers raised slogans against the airline and expressed their outrage.

The flight, originally scheduled to take off at 10.30 pm on Tuesday, was first delayed by an hour. However, around 10.45 pm, passengers were informed that the flight was cancelled without any alternative arrangements being made. This left many travellers in a difficult situation, as per the information some were heading to attend weddings, while one student, who was flying for an exam, became extremely anxious as she feared missing it.

The sudden cancellation left women and children in distress, leading to chaos at the airport. Some passengers questioned the airline staff, and demanded answers and solutions. Many travellers were still stranded at the airport, seeking alternative arrangements and clarifications from officials.

Initial reports suggest that no reason was provided for cancellation of the flight.

One traveller shared his experience on X , stating that he had to face great inconvenience and spend a hefty amount to reach Ahmedabad due to the last-minute cancellation. He mentioned that he had to take Air India flight AI2959 at a cost of ₹24,360 and has requested reimbursement for the difference between the cancellation amount and the cost incurred to travel back.
