Air India pilot dies of heart attack during a scheduled layover in Bali

The Air India first officer reportedly died on Wednesday, after suffering a heart attack during a scheduled layover in Bali.
As per reports, the pilot had cleared recent medical checks and was within mandatory flying-hour limits.
The 40-year-old had flown from Delhi to Bali a day earlier and was staying at a hotel during the mandated crew layover.
The officer reportedly complained of severe discomfort at the hotel and then rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors diagnosed a heart attack, but he could not be revived despite medical intervention.
According to reports, the airline official added that the pilot has gone through every required medical check in recent months and there are no known pre-existing health issues. Adding that he was operating within the flying-hour limits set by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
