Air India Flight From Bhopal To Delhi Diverted To Jaipur After Mid-Air Technical Glitch

An Air India flight from Bhopal to New Delhi was diverted to Jaipur on Sunday morning after the aircraft developed a technical issue shortly after take-off, prompting the pilot to change course and land safely at Jaipur airport.

Flight AI 1886 departed from Raja Bhoj Airport in Bhopal at around 8.47 am, against its scheduled departure time of 8.25 am. It was scheduled to arrive in Delhi at 9.55 am.

However, after the aircraft encountered a technical problem while airborne, the pilot diverted the flight to Jaipur International Airport in Rajasthan. The aircraft subsequently landed safely at Jaipur in accordance with established safety procedures.

Air India Confirms Diversion

Air India confirmed that the flight was diverted following a technical issue and said the aircraft landed safely in Jaipur.

The airline said alternative arrangements were being made to transport the passengers to their destination, while its ground team was assisting them at the airport.

The incident caused inconvenience to passengers travelling to Delhi, although there were no reports of injuries.

Another Flight Faced Technical Issue Earlier

The incident comes two days after an IndiGo ATR 72 aircraft operating from Nagpur to Hyderabad was forced to return to Nagpur airport shortly after take-off following a technical glitch on September 11.

The passengers were subsequently flown to Hyderabad on another flight.
