7 indian fishermen rescued from Pakistan Maritime Security by Indian Coast Guard
Indian Coast Guard carried out a rescue operation and successfully freed seven Indian fishermen who had been abducted by the Pakistani Maritime Security Agency near the maritime border of Pakistan.
The incident occurred on November 17 when a distress call was received, reporting that Kal Bhairav had been intercepted by Pakistan maritime security and that seven Indian fishermen had been arrested in the no fishing zone.
Upon receiving the distress call, the Indian Coast Guard ship immediately proceeded at maximum speed to the location, spotted the Pakistani ship in the sea, and persuaded the Pakistani authorities to release the fishermen. The seven Indian fishermen were rescued safely. However, during the operation, the ship, Kal Bhairav, was damaged and sank.
After the successful rescue, the Indian Coast Guard ship returned to Okha port, where a joint investigation was initiated. State police, intelligence agencies, and fisheries authorities are collaborating to investigate the circumstances surrounding the encounter and the subsequent rescue operation.
