34 candidates from Gujarat selected in UPSC Civil Service final result

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the final result of the Civil Service Examination 2025.

A total of 953 candidates from across India have been selected for various , all Indian Services after completing the final interview stage. 

Among them, 34 candidates from Gujarat trained at the Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration (SPIPA) in Ahmedabad have successfully cleared the examination.

This is the highest number of selections from SPIPA so far, showing strong performance by candidates from Gujarat.

Exam process 

The Civil Services examination is conducted in three main stages, (Preliminary examination, Main examination, and Personality test).

The Preliminary examination was held on May 23,2025, and its results were declared on June 11, 2025. A total 14,161 candidates across India qualified for the main examination, including 272 candidates trained at SPIPA.

The Main examination results were announced on November 11, 2025. After this stage, 2,376 candidates across the country were selected for the Personality Test, including 82 candidates from SPIPA.

The Personality tests (interviews) were conducted between December 2025 and February 2026, and the final result was declared on March 5, 2026. Finally, 958 candidates were selected for the All India Services, including 34 candidates from SPIPA.

Top performance from Gujarat 

One of the top performance from Gujarat is Dishant Amrutlal Nisar from Kutch, who secured “ All India rank (AIR) 19 in the examination. He is the only candidate from the state to be ranked within the top 100.

Consistent Success

SPIPA has shown consistent success in recent years.

26 candidates were selected in 2023

27 candidates in 2024

34 candidates in 2025, which is the highest so far.

Officials said that under the guidance of “Director General Harit Shukla”, the institute continues to play an important role in helping youth from Gujarat achieve success in the country’s top civil services.
