10 soldiers dead, 7 injured in accident in J&K’s Doda

An incident was reported from Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district on Thursday where an Indian Army vehicle plunged into a deep gorge, resulting in the martyrdom of at least 10 soldiers, while 7 others were seriously injured, according to reports.
The accident reportedly took place near Khanni Top on the Bhaderwah-Chamba inter-state road. According to reports, the bulletproof Army vehicle was heading towards a high-altitude post with 17 soldiers on board. Near Khanni Top, the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to plunge nearly 200 feet into a deep gorge.
As soon as information about the accident was received, the Indian Army and local police launched a joint rescue operation.
Seven soldiers were injured in the crash, some of whom are said to be in critical condition. All the injured soldiers were airlifted to Udhampur Military Hospital for advanced medical treatment.
