Woman confronts man over alleged secret filming at Mumbai’s Marine Drive

A woman confronted a man at Mumbai’s Marine Drive after allegedly discovering that he had been secretly taking inappropriate photographs and videos of her on his mobile phone, an incident that has since drawn widespread attention on social media.

The woman later shared a video of the confrontation on Instagram, stating that a passer-by alerted her to the man’s actions, enabling her to check his phone and confirm her suspicions. 

In her caption, she said the episode highlighted the need for stronger awareness about women’s privacy in public spaces and stressed that women should not have to remain constantly vigilant even in crowded locations.

In the video, the woman is seen questioning the man about why he had taken photographs of her and other women. The man, appearing visibly uncomfortable, apologises repeatedly and says the incident would not be repeated while avoiding eye contact.

The woman continues to challenge him in the clip, asking whether he felt no shame and questioning whether such behaviour meant women should stop stepping out in public.

The footage has since gone viral, prompting strong reactions online. While many users praised the woman for speaking out and confronting the alleged misconduct, others also advised caution, noting that personal safety should remain a priority during such confrontations.
